Translation: I don’t think black women should wear their hair as it naturally grows out of their heads because that’s ugly and doesn’t look enough like the straight white folk hair I’ve been socialized to idealize.
This is some bullshit. This person will probably grow up and discriminate against black women in the workforce based on this bullshit. Someone tell me again that there aren’t tangible disadvantages to wearing your hair natural as a black woman. I dare you.
yes, god forbid i wear my hair the way it grows out of my scalp. i should try to be more like you white and put dangerous chemicals that can burn through my skin to fit your standard of beauty. while i’m at it, i’m going to stop eating to get rid of my hips & breasts. i should also look into a nose job & colored contacts. hell we’re almost there why not go for some bleach?! basically bitch, shut the fuck up. the first motherfucker to say something about my hair is usually the first one to try to touch it, & the first one to get slapped in front of a group of people.
